August 5th 1901
To any descendant of Dexter A. or Emma D. Russell this letter is addressed and they may like to know that we came to Colo Springs Colo. In May 1874 and have continued to reside here. Our family is composed of two sons Harry Allen and Frank Rea Russell, and four of our children lie in Evergreen Cemetary [sic]. We now live at 243 North Institute St. Ages now of family, D.A. Russell fifty one in 1900 Emma D. Forty five in 1900 Harry A. Twenty four in 1900 Frank Rea 15 in 1900. Now trusting that some one or more of any grand children may look upon this & will close with hearty greettings [sic] to all.

Dexter A. Russell was born in Oswego City, NY came from there to Michigan in 1851 to Ottawa Kansas in 1870 to Colo. Springs May 1874 married Emma Duzenbury Jan 1 1874 in Ottawa Kansas His father and Mother were born in New York State.
