Notes
A book containing a complete record of the Worthington-Gauss ancestral lines is now being compiled & written up in autograph by William Theodore Gauss - it will be entrusted to the care of his daughter or in case of her death to one of her two brothers (Carl Friedrich or Theodore Worthington Gauss). If it is not destroyed by the time this is read, it will contain much data of interest in regard to the present & earlier branches of the Worthington-Gauss family lines & writer hopes it may have the established connection of Samuel Worthington, the 3rd maternal grandfather (of our children) with his parents & earlier family.
Thomas & Agnes Croasdale with their daughter Alice came over from England to this country with Wm. Penn in the ship "Welcome."
If a copy of the Potts "History of the Potts family in Great Britain & America" published by Th. Maxwell Potts in 1901 can be obtained it will be found to contain much of interest.
These are advance sheets from a book to be issued about October 1st 1901 giving a complete genealogical record of the Potts family in Great Britain & America. Published by Th. Maxwell Potts Canonsburg PA.
