[Letter from Thomas U. Wood to Mrs. H.M.F. Hunt, 1873]
Miss Dawe
I send herewith Mrs Hunts Pension Certificate and Voucher.
I do not know that I can give any advice that will be new to her. She will be under the necessity of Signing & deposing in the presence of two witnesses who have known her for three years past. She had better do this if she can before the Clerk of a Court, having a seal although a Notary or Justice will do if Known by the Pension Agent in Providence. After thus signing &c, the Voucher should be sent to
"Gen. C.R. Braylon
Pension Agent
Providence
R I."
He wills end his check to Mrs. Hunt to her address in Boston as given by her in her Voucher.
I trust and believe she will have no difficulty in obtaining the payment from Dec 4, 1872 to Sept 4, 1873.
Very Respectfully
Thos W. Wood
