Description: correspondence between President Theodore Roosevelt and Philip B. Stewart (1865-1957), businessman and politician of Colorado, relating to Western politics and prominent figures, including William G. Evans, railroad executive; Henry J. Hagerman, Governor of New Mexico; James H. Peabody, Governor of Colorado; and Edward O. Wolcott, Senator from Colorado.

Restrictions: the donor has restricted publication of certain letters (those containing references to Evans or Hagerman) until the year 2007.
