Virtual Tour of Historic Colorado College
Olin Hall of Science (1961-62)

Olin Hall was built for the cost of 1.6 million dollars. The Olin Foundation was a major donor. the building won an award for distinguished design in the 1963 Texas Architecture Competition. The deep-set windows are due to the unique exoskeletal structure of the building. All utilities, including electrical, gas, plumbing, air conditioning, and ventilation are supplied to all rooms in the building through a 5-foot thick perimeter chase around the entire building on each floor.
